Students interested in learning about the basics of being a minister can choose to enroll in the Pre-Ordination and Licensing Certification Program. This program consists of 5 separate courses that last 1 year. At the end of that year, students will have the knowledge and skills they need to serve as a licensed minister under the leadership of an experienced Pastor.
High School Diploma or GED
Old Testament: This 10 week course teaches how the Israelite culture was developed starting from the Exodus stage, through the Conquest Stage, Judges stage, United Kingdom stage, and Divided Kingdom stage. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of how the Israelite people became enslaved and were freed, how their culture developed in their trek through the wilderness, the settlement of the Promised land, the development of Judges and Kings, and finally how the kingdom was divided.
New Testament: This 10 week course teaches the fundamental knowledge of the most important historical events of Jesus Christ as found in the first four books of the New Testament of the most important historical events of the Early Church Stage Found in the book of Acts. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of the New Covenant, ministry of Jesus Christ from birth through His crucifixion, Pentecost , Greater Jerusalem Crusade, Choosing of Deacons, and Paul's first mission.
Introduction to Counseling: This 10 week course teaches the basics of Biblical counseling. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of the difference between Christian and Secular counseling, the Do's and Don'ts of counseling, and the basic struggles people go through in life including depression, anger, anxiety, and loneliness.
Ceremonies: This 6 week course teaches the symbolism and procedure of the basic ceremonies performed in churches today including Communion, Baptism, Weddings, and Funerals. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to explain the importance of each ceremony and will know how to officiate each one from beginning to end.
Public Speaking: This 4 week course teaches the fundamentals of public speaking and gives students plent of practice. Upon completion of this course, students will have an understanding of the knowledge needed to effectively relate a message to their audience and be able to write and deliver a 15 minute sermon.
